NEW YORK (March 05, 2014) - Actor and investor Omar Epps, Netflix Chief Product Officer Neil Hunt, and Buzzfeed Founder and CEO Jonah Peretti are among the technology luminaries confirmed to headlineInternet Week New York 2014 from May 19th – 25th, organizers announced today.

A global showcase for New York City’s vibrant tech-based economy, Internet Week New York celebrates the impact of technology on business, entertainment and culture. More than 45,000 people are expected to attend over 250 panels, meet-ups, exhibits, screenings, parties and more taking place May 19-25, 2014 across the city. Additionally, IWNY HQ, the nerve center of the festival, will stage the week’s premier speakers at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea.

Epps, who has invested in several technology startups including RockLive and Plus Capital, is one of several leaders from the worlds of media, retail and venture capital confirmed to take the stage at Internet Week New York 2014. Other featured speakers include: Vice co-founder Suroosh Alvi, Coca-Cola senior VP Jonathan Mildenhall, Lerer Ventures Co-Founder Eric Hippeau, Cheezburger Founder and CEO Ben Huh, and Quotidian Ventures partner Rick Webb. Additional speakers, programming and events will be announced in the coming months.

Festival-goers can purchase passes for Internet Week New York beginning today at special Early Bird prices. The Festival passes include the HQ Pass ($325) providing week-long admission to the Internet Week New York headquarters, the Insider Pass ($595) including a VIP Exclusive Gift Bag and extended access to official parties, mixers and networking events, and the VIP/All Access Pass ($1095) which includes all of the benefits of the other 2 pass levels plus access to co-located events and conferences in the IWNY Theater and sponsored breakfasts at the IWNY HQ. Organizers also announced that commercial real estate leader CBRE has signed on as an Official Sponsor of Internet Week New York 2014. As part of their partnership, Internet Week and CBRE will launch the NYC Edition of “Internet Week Tech Digs,” a new video series premiering in March 2014 that will explore the office spaces of the city's top digital firms. The two organizations will also unveil the first annual Best Places to Work in NYC Tech, honoring firms which combine outstanding benefits with an inspiring company culture.
